The paintings in this collection date between 2019-2024. Most works were created in 2024. While leaving my studio in Berlin in 2022 and moving back to my home state of New Jersey in 2023, I remember feeling like it was an ‘eye of the storm’ kind of time while gearing up for a big change. I knew the change would result in a new wave of my work after focusing predominantly on portraits in 2022. I continued on themes of returning to the ocean and painting outdoors, observing from life. I moved between gouache on paper and oil on wood, while also building teak frames.
